I have never thought about this question before. Before I read this article, the name of a car was not important to me. But now I think the name is important. I think that I would still buy the car even if I didn’t like the name. The only exception is if the name meant something bad in my language, like the German ‘mist’ example. I know the meaning of Mitsubishi Colt (= young horse), Ford Escape (= run away), Chevrolet Volt (=electricity).
I would call a small sports car for women Fitness or Beauty or Cutie.
