There are many advantages of home-schooling. One example is the individual track of teaching, specially catered to the capabilities of the student. Another one is that such schooling can take place anytime - in a convenient time for a student. A disadvantage on the other hand is that the student is alone and has no social interaction with other students. It is also hard to compare the scores with others, since there are no other people. 2. Definitely all the subjects where there is no group work - like maths where students usually calculate everything by themselves or physics which is math-based as well. Those subjects do not require working with other people. 3. Usually home-schooling is individual learning. For this reason it would be difficult to teach subjects like foreign languages, where it is important to have that social aspect of talking to other people. Another subject would be any writing course. Peer review is a substantial part of learning while in writing course, and with no other people, it is impossible.
