Końcówkę -es dodajemy w 3 os. l. poj. do czasowników zakończonych na: -s, -z, -ch, -sh, -x oraz do czasowników "do" i "go". Przy czasownikach zakończonych na literę "y" poprzedzoną spółgłoską też dodajemy -es a literkę "y" zamieniamy na "i", np. try - tries.
