Volleyball

On February 9, 1895, in Holyoke, Massachusetts William G Morgan, a Young Men's Christian Associaton physical education director, created a new game called Mintonette as a pastime to be played preferably indoors and by any number of players.
In 1947 in Paris was created a Federation
Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). It’s an organization which controls international volleyball.
In 1949 was first World’s Championships.

Volleyball is an Olympic team sport in which two teams of 6 active players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
The most important competition is the World Championship.

My favourite volleyball player is Mariusz Wlazły. He has won World Junior Championship in 2003. In 2006 he has second place in World Senior Championship. He plays in Skra Bełchatów team. He’s one of the best and the most popular players in Poland.
