You need to do something, what will make happy that person. It may be simple game like "kalambury" or "kółko i krzyżyk" You can also draw with that peron if she/he likes it. Next thing you can do is reading. You can read a book or magazine. People, who are long in the hospital like to know what's going on outside, so newspaper is also very good idea. Also great idea is give ill people something to eat. Sweets, chocolate or fruits will make them happy. Music is very relaxing, so it's good to take radio to hospital. If you will spend few hours with sick person, I bet she/he will feel better. All people are different. You can't really know what ill person is expecting. In fact you should just ask her/him and do what they want.
