This text is about some part of the Tower of London history.

The Tower were house to the many exotic animals gifted to the Queen, life at the Tower gets all the more interest­ing.

The first animal there was leopard.

The next were polar bear which fed on fish from the river Thames.

Later there comes a lion which in 1686 killed its first victim - girl Mary Jenkinson.

The "washing the Tower lions" on the 1st of April used to be an old London hoax.
