My favorite music genre is surely rock. Of course, this style can be divided into many subcategories like folk rock, new wave, glam rock or even Christian rock. I don't like them all, but I'll always appreciate the sound of electric guitar strings.

The origins of rock music can be found in early jazz traditions within Black American community. Rock music has been evolving for over 60 years now and it's often very difficult to differentiate between the so-called good and bad music.

I enjoy the classics, like The Kinks and The Rolling Stones and I love Jimi Hendrix with their then-shocking attitudes to art and sexuality. Their music has had enormous impact on today's bands, and they have and will always have many followers. Just look how similar today's bands look like. They all wear skinny jeans, colorful sneakers and fancy haircuts.

Rock musicians are believed to do great amounts of drugs that affect their scene behavior and their creative processes. But it is not always true.

Moreover, rock musicians are thought to be rebels against some well-established social conventions.

If you ask me, I can recommend you some easy-listen albums to start with. These will be The Beatles' "Let It Be" and Bob Dylan's "Oh Mercy".
