"Forefathers" is a classic Polish romantic drama, a must-read educational, literary and dramatic masterpiece.

On 22.11.2011r. Our class had the opportunity to watch the performance of "Forefathers" in the Concert Hall of the Municipal Office in Radom, issued by the New Theatre from Slupsk.
The play was directed by Stanisław Miedziewski and the development of the text prepared by Marcin Bortkiewicz.

"Forefathers" is a re-enactment other than the previously issued in Polish theaters, focused on several important and meaningful scenes. In the interest of loyalty and respect for the text of the climate romantic song, creator of the show want to focus viewers' attention on themes still relevant today, such as political corruption, the eternal conflict of universal values, self-interest, and often betrayal of national elites. Although today these concepts are slightly different wording than two centuries ago, the founder of Slupsk "Forefathers" modern viewer want to help answer the question of what is today the Polish character, which makes up the basic canon of what should be a modern form of patriotism, what the expectations are facing today against intelligence and spiritual side of life as youth of the nation.

The show performed outstanding actors embodying the drama as the characters. Although the play was difficult to play because of niesceniczność romantic drama, the actors played their roles fantastically. We loved the music experience that introduced to the art of the mood of mystery. Costumes perfectly capture the atmosphere of the artists of the time.

"Forefathers" are difficult to understand, especially for young people, for whom language is often incomprehensible tragedy. The show helped to understand the song and its problems.

The presentation had a big impression on us, but we do not hide that at first skeptical approached to watch these shows.
