spaghetti bolobnese
serves 6
Ingredients: 450g spaghetti, 900g minced beef, 50g bacon,1 medium onion, 1 carrot,2 cloves of garlic, 100ml olive oil, 100ml red wine, 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, 75g grated parmesan cheese, salt and pepper
first, chop the onion, garlic, carrot and bacon into small pieces.
then heat half the oil in a frying pan and fry the becon for a minute. add the chopped onion, garlic and carrot, and fry until they are soft.
put the frying pan back on the heat, add the rest of the oil and fry the minced beef until it is brown.
after frying the vegetables, add the chopped tomatoes. stir and cook a few minutes.
now take the cooked vegetables and tomatoes out the frying pan and put on one side.
then add the cooked beef to the tomatoes and vegetables. season with pepper and salt.
after adding the beef to the vegetables, pour the red wine into the frying pan and turn up the heat.
when the wine has come to the boil, put the beef and vegetablemixture back into the frying pan, and add a litre of water. cook the sauce very slowly for two hours, stirring from tim to time.
when the sauce has cooked for two hours, boil 3-4 litres of water in a saucepan.
put the spaghetti in the boiling water, add salt and stir for a few seconds.
when the spaghetti is cooked, drain it. spoon the sauce over the spaghetti.
sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
