Last summer, I was visiting my grandfather in his house in the Polish countryside. I remember the event quite clearly - it was a clear, starry, and slightly windy June night. I was sitting in a treehouse with my grandfather's cat, Mituś, when I suddenly heard a peculiar sound. The cat began meowing and his fur stood up, and I looked around apprehensively. There was nothing to be seen around us. Then, we both heard the sound again - a light thud, as if a body had been thrown around. Petrified, we both sat up in the tree silently, thinking some supernatural spirit or ghost was haunting us. The thud was heard yet again - I gripped the cat in fear, but thankfully in the end in turned out it was my grandma all along, chucking bags of potatoes out of the cellar and onto the grass nearby. Phew!
