Battle of Warsaw (pot. miracle on the Vistula) - a battle fought on 13-25 August 1920 during the Polish-Bolshevik war. Decided to maintain the independence of Poland and shattered the plans of spreading the revolution in Western Europe. According to Edgar D'Abernon was the 18th of breakthrough battles in world history.
A key role was played by outflanking maneuver Polish Army Red Army carried out by the Supreme Commander of Jozef Pilsudski, derived Wieprz August 16, while the main forces of the Bolshevik bound on the outskirts of Warsaw.
