✎Easter is an amazing time for all the Christians. Everyone looks forward to Easter Sunday with excitement. It's one of the most significant bank holidays in Poland. On that day we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus which is the main aspect of our faith. The preceding days usually look as follows. On Maundy Thursday, people tend to attend the evening mass. That day is the commemoration of the Last Supper. When we come back home, it's the time to do some Easter house cleaning, which is a common practice in Poland. On Good Friday, we finally finish cleaning and start to prepare our Easter basket. There are i.a. Easter eggs, cold cuts, salt, bread, and an Easter lamb that represents the Resurrection of Christ. Good Friday is the only day when there is no mass. On Holy Saturday, we go to church and have our Easter basket blessed. On Easter Sunday, we get up early and attend the solemn mass. Afterwards, there is a family gathering where we share an Easter egg. It's a great opportunity to see one another one more time. Wet Monday is never a lucky day to most of people. Traditionally, they pour a few buckets of water on one another. Although Easter is deemed a tiring period, people love that time.
