Medieval Old English literature stems from two separate and different sources: oral tradition and Old Norse skaldic scopes Saxon and the Latin tradition of the monks working in the British Isles. Anglo-Germanic tradition sakońska and its Nordic counterparts characterized by a belief in yourself and belief in the possibility of reaching each goal. Especially tradition scopes were pouring in from the opposing currents of Christian continent characterized by courage, but subordinated humility and obedience to the authority of the spiritual and the secular.
