Hair (1979) musicial film directed by Milos Forman, based on the scenicmusical  by Gerome Ragnig(?) and James Rado. The main stars are: John Savage (Claude Bukowski),  Treat Williams (Berger) I Beverly D'Angelo (Sheila). Claude, a boy from Oklahoma goes to New York to enlist(?) on a war in Vietnam. Probably he would travel there and die for the country. However he meets a group of hippie people - in the full sense of the word,leaded by Berger and love to Sheila, a girl from good house. The boy discovers new world and a new way of thinking. He doubts in his right ideals. The director managed in a musical form the real problems of american young people at the turn pf the 60s and 70s. Hair exposes beauty of the moral revolution, which people stoped believing. However, Forman insisted to save something important. He was largely thanks to the positive image of contestation, which he burned in a pop culture. 
In originally staged dance and vocal numbers to the voice joins happiness, friendship and love. Without sneer, without distance.This film also has great acting, particularly worth paying attention to the role of John Savage, who in my opinion played his parts very well and it wasn't easy to find himself in the new, hippie world. The sound effects in this film are really so climatic and they involves a message for many people. HAir is so magnificent musical, well worth to see.
I honestly loved this film! I could watch it over and over and I would never be bored. I recommend it! Don't miss it.
