Last summer I worked in Hungary, another EU member state. I was a waitress in a restaurant in Tihany, on the Lake Balaton. They advertised for a multilingual waitress for their international clientele. As a Polish citizen, I could easily work. I only needed to show my Polish passport, my international driver license, and my international medical insurance card. The work was hard but fun. I worked Tuesday through Sunday from 3 pm until midnight. I waited tables, promoted Hungarian wines, and spoke to many tourists. Luckily my boss and all my coworkers spoke excellent English, so I had no trouble communicating with them. I have even learned a few words of Hungarian from them.
