Charles Dickens was born in 1812 in London. He had seven siblings, so his childhood and youth were quite difficult. The school is noted, however, that is extremely talented and smart. In 1833 he started writing stories from newspaper. In 1836 he married Catherine Hogharth and they had ten children. From 1836 to 1865 he wrote 14 major novels, including Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and the ghost story A Chrismatas Carol.
On 9 June 1870 he died. MOst popular English writer of 19th century.
Over 130 years later his book are still bestsellers, many films of his novels.
