The book was awarded many prestigious awards including the New York Times Best Seller list - the book debuted on the list at position 5.

Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel J.R.R. Tolkien's happening in his fictional world called the Mediterranean.
It is a continuation of another story by this author entitled Hobbit, or There and back again.
