Like the kangaroo and the koala bear, the possum is marsupial. Another interesting Australian animals is the emu. It's a bird, but it can't fly. It's very tall. An adult grows to 1.8 metres and weighs about 60 kg. An emu egg is ten centimetres long!
Australia ma nietypowe i interesujące zwierzęta. Najbardziej znane Australijskie zwierzęta to kangury. Jest to torbacz. To znaczy, że osobnik żeński ma torbę na przodzie swojego ciała i trzyma tam swoje małe dziecko. Kangury to duże zwierzęta. Młody osobnik ma około 2 metrów wysokości. Oni nie chodzą i nie biegają, tylko skaczą. Kangury mogą podrózówać 9 metrów jednym skokiem!.
Miś koala jest też torbaczem. Ma on dużą, okrągłą głowę i futrazne uszy. Żywią się one drzewami eukaliptusowymi. Zwierzęta te są bardzo leniwe. Często pozostaje przy tym samym drzewie na cały dzień.
(Possums) wygląda jak mysz, ale potrafi urosnąć do rozmiarów takich jak kot. Zwierze to żyje w lesie i je liście. (Possums) mają długie ogony, którego używają do poruszania się z drzewa na drzewo. Tak jak kangury i misie koala, (possum) jest torbaczem. Inne interesujące Australijskie zwierze to emu. Jest to ptak, który nie potrafi latać. Jest barrdzo wysoki, młode rosną do 1.8 metra i waża około 60 kilo. Jajo emu ma dziesięć centymetrów długości!
