To zadanie jest na czas Past Continuous – przeszły ciągły i Past Simple – przeszły prosty.

Używamy tych czasów gdy czynność odbywała się w przeszłości i została przerwana przez krótką czynność (Past Simple)

She was taking a bath when the telephone rang. (Branie kąpieli zostaje przerwane przez telefon).

Konstrukcja zdania Past Continuous:

Osoba+WAS/WERE+czasownik –ing+ reszta zdania

WAS – osoby I, he, she, it

WERE – osoby we, you, they

I was watching TV yesterday.

Konstrukcja zdania Past Simple:
