In London many streets bore names of  famous historic people or events like for example Trafalgar Square named in memory of  Battle of  Trafalgar in 19 th century.

 

People living in London are called Londoners or  "Cockneys", most famous of  Londoners are Charlie Chaplin a comedy actor that played in America in 1910 and Arthur Conan Doyle who was inventor  Sherlock Holmes in 1887.
