"The Fault in Our Stars" is an American novel written by John Green, who is a contemporary writer, vlogger, and actor. The book was published in 2012, and is considered to belong to a young adult novel genre. The title refers to one of the Shakespeare's plays, "Julius Caesar". A Polish translation of the book is available, and its title is "Gwiazd naszych wina". Moreover, there in a movie adaptation with the same title.

It is a story narrated by a teenager, Hazel, who suffers from cancer. Her parents told her to attend a support group meetings, where she meets a boy who has a prosthetic leg. The two fall in love, and this is where the actual story begins.

What I really liked about the book is its humor. The way Hazel describes her days is very amusing. Furthermore, the language in the book is on a high level. It is not another dull book that will not broaden your vocabulary. Mostly, however, it is a beautiful love story with a tragic illness present all the time. One can say it is bitter-sweet. It makes you think about your life and your relationships with other people.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone. It has become one of my dearest books to which I will return many times in the future.
