1. Harry Edward Styles was born on February 1 1994, in Redditch, Worcestershire, the son of Anne Cox (née Selley) and Desmond "Des" Styles. He is descended from Norfolk farm labourers. At the age of 7 Harry's parents divorced and even though he maintained a good relationship with his father, Harry lived with his mother, and sister, Gemma Styles. Harry auditioned for British show, The X-Factor in 2010 singing "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. He was sent through with all yes's and one no from Louis. He went through multiple rounds, until he was kicked off at Bootcamp. However, Simon Cowell believed that Harry could be brought back, and into a group. Simon then put Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles into a group. Harry thought of the name "One Direction", and they first performed "Torn" at the Judges' house in Spain. In the end of the X-Factor, One Direction came in 3rd place. Even though the boys were upset, Simon talked to them saying Sony wanted to sign them for a deal the following morning. One Direction then put out their first album "Up All Night" that hit No. 1 in the charts in Australia, United Kingdom, and the United States. With their hit single, "What Makes You Beautiful", the members of One Direction are leaving girls across the world in tears speechless, at their charming looks, and unique personalities. Girls all over are falling head over heals for this British/Irish boy
band, and are becoming severely popular

2. Niall James Horan was born on September 13th, 1993, in Westmeath, Mullingar (St. Luke's Hospital). He has one older brother, Greg Horan. His parents are Maura Gallagher and Bobby Horan. His parents divorced when he was five and he lived a few years between each homes, until he chose to live with his dad. Niall was a pupil at Coláiste Mhuire, a Christian Brothers School. Niall was into music from a young age, from about 5 or 6. He started playing the guitar when he was about twelve, and one year later he entered the school's talent show, singing The Script's 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'. He didn't win, but got a lot of local press and good comments. He also entered a small local competition, where he was singing Chris Brown's 'With You', this time he won the show. In 2009, Niall supported Lloyd Daniels in a small music venue. All those things led him realize he was maybe good at singing. In 2010, Niall entered the X Factor. He sang 'I'm Yours' and 'So Sick' on his audition, and got trough to the next round. At boot camp, he and Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik were put together in a band, One Direction. They came third on the show, and one day after that their mentor, Simon Cowell, gave them a record deal. Their first single 'What Makes You Beautiful' is one of the biggest hits of 2012, and their debut album 'Up All Night' went straight to number one in America.

3. Zayn Malik Zayn Javadd Malik, Zayn is from West Lane, Baildon, Bradford, England.He was born on January 12, 1993.Zayn grew up in East Bowling, south of the Bradford City Centre. He used to study in Lower Fields Primary School and Tong High School. Zayn is muslim. Zayn has 4 tattoos, a Yin Yang sign on his left wrist and a peace sign on his right arm, a symbol on his tummy and his grandfather's Arabic name on his chest. His audition in The X Factor was shown only after the show ended.

4. Louis Tomlinson Louis William Tomlinson, he was born on December 24, 1991.Louis is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. His mother's name is Johanna and his father is Mark. Louis has 4 younger sisters named, Charlotte, Félicité, and twins Daisy and Phoebe. Louis auditioned in The X Factor 7th series in 2010 and sung"Hey There Delilah" and "Make You Feel My Love" at boot camp; he was rejected and put into One Direction.

5. Liam Payne Liam James Payne, Liam was born on August 29, 1993, 3 weeks earlier from the expected date. He's from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. His mother is Karen and his father is Geoff. Liam has 2 older sisters, Ruth and Nicola. Liam took up boxing lessons at the age of 12 because he was bullied; it gave him confidence and did pretty well over the next couple of years. Payne first auditioned in X Factor in 2008 when he was only 14 years old but Simon Cowell thought that he wasn't ready and told him to come back after 2 years. He came back in 2010 X Factor's 7th series, exactly after 2 years. He sung "Cry Me a River", received a standing ovation but rejected at boot camp after singing "Stop Crying Your Heart Out ", then put into One Direction.
