BRAVE NEW WORLD by Aldous Huxley

The novel is set in London of AD 2540.
In his novel Huxley descibes a futuristic society in which the individual is sacrificed for the state, there are not such things as love, freedom, family, religion, passion or boredom. Science is used to control everything and everybody.
There are two main characters in the book Bernard Marx and John. However, it is John who becomes the central protagonist. 
In my opinion the end of the book is very sad. The main character comitted the suicide as he could not bear this soulless world. 
The world in the novel was terrible even though it was supposed to be wonderful.
It would be really dreadful if it happened. I hope that the world will be better in the future than in Huxley's book.

Movie 'On Time'
The action happens in the end of 2k Millenium.
This film is about a society, where the time is a money and therefore the rich are immortal, while the poor has to fight for every second of their lives.

The main character is Will Salas, poor man, who becomes a rich person.
I like the ending of a film, because it is a food for thought and it is really touching.
I believe that it won't happen in the future, because the modern society will not agree on making a time a currency.
