At first we should explain what means immoral.
-something which refers to morality, it can refers also to people behaviour considered wrong or not honest. It consists of manner, proper behaviour and character.
This quotation comes from The picture of Dorian Grey(his novel), it's an introduction. These words expresses authors point of view. The view on art. The author show us that there are differences between entertainment and literature.
Reading can be like an experience in which nothing is more unknown. We can treat it like a course but at first glance we can't say nothing about it, because we don't know everything. In this novel the artist is a creator of beautiful things we can refer to the books which be well written or badly written.
I think that we can't say that all books are well written or badly because we simplify and generalize it. Every writer want to be the best and every pursue to this aim but not everybody can achieve it.
