Currently the organization is working to protect the environment. Greenpeace has 28 offices and operates in 42 countries around the world. All these institutions are subject to the Greenpeace International, based in Amsterdam. The organization is funded entirely by individual donors (the Direct dialogue), whose number is estimated at about 2.8 million. They are mostly supporters, but also charities. Greenpeace does not accept money from companies and governments, which is to guarantee its independence. Greenpeace also conducts business in Poland.
