Do you remember this book, that you lent me when I was last time in England? I'm writing this email to apologise you, because I lost it in plane.

When I was flying back home I was so excited, that I had borrowed it, that I had to read it in plane. I was reading it 'till stewardess brought me food. Then I put it on the other chair and I forgot it when I was getting off. I'm really sorry, that I did it, but I promise you, that I will buy you another book. Even if you want the same, which you lent me. 

I also wanted to ask you how was your weekend. Did you do anything special? I really miss you, so maybe we could go for coffee to gossip a little bit? I'm waiting for your answer.
