$( 3^{x} + 3^{-x} )^{2}$ - 2 = 98
$( 3^{x} + 3^{- x}) ^{2}$ = 98 + 2
$( 3^{x} + 3^{- x}) ^{2}$ = 100
$3^{x}$ + $3^{- x}$ = $\sqrt{100}$
$3^{x}$ + $3^{- x}$ = 10 atau $3^{x}$ + $3^{-x}$ = - 10

3^2x + 3^ -2x = 98
(3^x + 3^-x)^2 - 2(3^x)(3^-x) = 98
(3^x + 3^ -1)^2 - 2(1) = 98
