The image of Jan Pawel II is everywhere around us. There's plenty of him in book stores and internet (still growing, most of the sites regarding Jan's are created by young people.First of all, when in 1978 Karol Wojtyła was elected and named Pope (he was 58 that time), young people were feeling like he's one of them. He loved skiing, swimming and climbing. He had a good sense of humour as well, what he used to entertain young people, to enjoy their company and let them enjoy his. He used to live exactly like them, that's why he knew all about their problems. That made a special bound with them, making it more common to think about life and point of it.

 

Jan Pawel II was never criticising teenagers, never tried to blame them. He tried to convert them, bur first - he made them feel that he needs them. And love them. He always repeated that "teenagers are the future and hope of Church". Youngs were feeling that Pope is actually hoping and praying for their life, so they were wishing him the same.
Youngs were happy when Jan Pawel II have said something in their language. They were applauding him, shouting exactly what they had written on a transparents - "Holy Father, we love you". Pope impressed them and became a role model.

These days there's not much people like him. He's the only one Pope that they remember and respect.
To conclude, Jan Pawel II is a really awesome man, friend and young people teacher, who tried to reach them only by love. Because of his courage he impressed them and became a true authority. They love him and trying to make his words into the life. That's why I think that "Jan Pawel II - role model of teenagers" is totally accurate.
