A: Say the situation isn't so terrible.
B: Disagree with A.
A: Cheer your friend up.
B: Respond to A's comment.

A - Hey, what's wrong?
B - I've just broken up with my boyfriend.
A - Whoa, really? You were together for two years? What happened?
B - It turned out he dated another girl. We argued and he shouted he didn't want to hear that from me and he left.
A - Well, it's good he left. I mean, you wouldn't want to be with a cheating boyfriend, right?
B - But I loved him! And I was really ready to forgive him if he just showed a bit of remorse.
A - Don't bother with him anymore, he's not worth it. Come on. Let's buy some ice cream and watch a comedy movie at my place.
B - Ahh, I love you sometimes.
