how important is it to preserve historic sites?

There are many subjects in school and one of them is history. We learn about famous battles, people and places. Teacher says interesting things, history textbook is constructed to make it easier to learn. But the best way to learn is to see. Whe we walk into old castle we can almost feel the history. We imagine how it was years ago, when kings and knights were here. Unfortunately, a lot of places like that are forgotten and destroyed by the time. We have to take care of this, before it's too late. It's important to preserve them, to learn, to remember, to show that our children someday.
