As petrol has been getting/has got more expensive recently, we have just been completing/have just completed a survey to find out what people have been doing/have done to reduce their car petrol usage. We have now been checking/have now checked the results, and here are the figures. Of the 200 people that we interviewed, 60 percent have been using/have used their cars less often – only for essential trips; 40 percent have checked/have been checking their car tyre pressure more regularly; 25 percent have been sharing/have shared car trips with a neighbour or a colleague; 20 percent have used/have been using public transport; 10 percent have already been buying/have already bought a smaller car that uses less petrol; and just 5 percent haven't been changing/haven't changed their driving habits yet.
