Here's some advice how to be polite when you go to somebody's house for a meal. The first thing you must remember is to arrive exactly on time; Polish people don't tolerate unpunctuality at all. You also need to remember to take off your shoes when you enter the house. Polish people see it impolite not to eat everything you are given, so remember to not to do so. You mustn't belch at the table; this is seen as disgusting in Poland. You also mustn't eat with your fingers, so remember about eating with a knife and fork. You needn't bring some flowers for the housewife as she may feel embarrassed, however it will surely be appreciated.
