If I were an English language teacher, a class full of students who do not want to learn the language would be an utter nightmare. As everyone knows, it is impossible to teach something to a person who just refuses to learn. So the only way is make the student WANT to start learning. I think that the best way is to get them interested. To get their attention. But how to do that? One way is to show them that learning English can be fun. And the next step is to show them that they can benefit from the English language skills in the future. That it will make their lives easier, more comfortable and get them well-paying jobs. But the absolute priority is to make English lessons as much fun as possible. I would use the current English block busters and TV series as learning material. Adding some video games would also be a good idea. Pop song lyrics are a great learning material, as well. These are just a few general ideas to make student want to learn the language.
