Hello Christy,

 

Finally, after months of preparations, last Saturday the Scottish culture night took place at my school. Remember that I told you that I was on the organising committee? 

Well, the event was a great success! The theme of the event was Scotland: Then and Now. We showcased the country's history and present-day culture, politics, and food. My job was to introduce some Scottish dishes.

We also had some problems. The organiser who was responsible for publicity forgot to place an advertisement in the school newspaper. So we had to make hundreds of photocopies of our advert and ask all the teachers to hand them out to the students. 

Everyone had a great time. People said they wanted another cultural event next year.
