- tell him/her where you've gone
- remind him/her to do something that involves a household appliance
- ask him/her to buy some food/ drink
- say when you'lle be home

Dear John,
As you might have heard, this weekend I am going to the seaside with a couple of friends to celebrate Alice's birthday. We will stay in Sopot for two nights.
Please always remember to remove clean plates from the dish washer once it finishes its job. Do not touch the microvawe oven, because it broke down yesterday!
I would also like to ask you to buy some bread, cheese and milk before my return. A piece of ham would be nice too. Please check whether we are running short of mineral water. If we do, buy a couple of bottles.
I am back home on Sunday evening. Leave the key at the neighbour if you are out.
