Technology as we conceive it, is a development of mechanical devices, which facilitate our lifes. It is divided into many subgroups and many products are a result of it, for example mobile phones, computers, speakers, food processors and music players.
I think mobile phones, also called cell phones because of their small size, are the most important of these. They enable us to communicate with each other, wherever we are. they are not tied to a place or thing, and can be easily taken with. They make it possible for many people from around the world to talk to each other, even though they would never meet in real life. You can call anyone anytime, just to say hello, and you don't have to insert the number manually, as the device can do it for you. There are many varietes and differences betweend mobiles. Some are really expensive, and have many things like e.g. internet connection or mass memory, included. But some are relatively cheap and available for everyone to buy, which makes it a good option for young people. The problem is, that we cannot just cut off from the world, and anyone can call us. Employers require us to be always reachable and ready to contact.
Even though it helps us in many everyday things, it also absorbs a lot of time to talk to that many people. We should balance our private and worklife, and cell phones often prevent us from it. We also get used to having a mobile, get addicted to them, and cannot live without them, which is bad of course. That's why putting your phone away for some time can prove benefitial.
