Giraffes (scientific name: Giraffa camelopardalis) is an even-toed mammals endemic to Africa and is the tallest animal species that live on land. Male giraffe can reach 4.8 to 5.5 meters high and has a weight that can reach 1,360 pounds. Giraffes females usually slightly shorter and lighter. Giraffes are related to deer and cattle, but from a different tribe, namely Giraffidae which includes its own giraffe and its closest relative, the okapi. Natural habitat covers an area of Chad to South Africa Camelopardalis species name derives from the name in Latin, because it is considered as a hybrid camel (camel) and leopard (leopard). Camelopardalis name used by Pliny wrote a senior in the encyclopedia. This name is also used as the name of one of the constellations
