The person, which I would really like to meet again is my childhood friend Alicja. She was the first child that spoke to me, when I joined a new class in the third grade of elementary school. We got on well from the very beginning and I’m sure if we kept in touch we would still have a lot in common. Ala was not that kind of person, which one could notice easily. Quite short and slender, she seemed pale and dull. As most of us back than, she didn’t pay too much attention to what she was wearing. Her only distinctive feature was her shiny black hair, always combed into two long braids. The thing that made her so special was her character. Her kindness and courage was unusual, especially for a 9-year-old. She would never just pass by, when someone was unhappy or bullied. Even if she was to get beaten up, she would always defend others. Also she had a great sense of humour and was very intelligent. One would never get bored with her. Alicja was a splendid companion, no matter if we were learning together, or just having fun. Back than we shared most of our interests. We would just sit for ages reading books or drawing, exchanging ideas and laughing. There was a bond between us that let us understand each other even without words. I regret losing contact with her. I’m certain that if I hadn’t move house, we’d still be best friends. I wish I met her again and had a chance to reconstruct the only friendship from 10 years ago that I haven’t forgotten about.
