Zona polar: los rayos del Sol caen sobre la Tierra de una manera inclinada, por lo que las temperaturas son más bajas en la Tierra. Zona templada: los rayos se centran en la superficie inclinada a la zona intertropical, por lo que las temperaturas son más suaves. Zona tropical: las zonas que reciben la luz solar en una superficie casi vertical, por lo que se producen altas temperaturas en las regiones afectadas. Esta zona es conocida como la zona tórrida del planeta.
