6 - 2(4x - 2x + 8) - 20 = -4x + 2x + 14

6 - 8x + 4x - 16 - 20 = -4x + 2x + 14

4x - 2x - 8x + 4x = 14 - 6 + 16 + 20

2x - 4x = 8 + 36

-2x = 44

x = -44/2

x = -22
