6x² - 5(x + 1) = x(x + 1) + 4

Aplicamos la propiedad distributiva.

a(b + c) = ab + ac

6x² - 5x + 5 = x² + x + 4

6x² - x² - 5x - x = 4 - 5
  
   5x² - 6x = - 1
 
  5x² - 1 - 6x = 0
 
 5x             +6
 
 x                - 1 

(5x -1) (x + 6)

Tenemos dos soluciones.

5x - 1 = 0

5x = 1

  x = 1/5

x = - 6

Solución.
