Pengertian Gerund

Sebelum membahas fungsi Gerund, mari kita definisikan dulu apa itu Gerund. Gerund merupakan kata kerja yang berfungsi sebagai kata benda sehingga dapat berfungsi sebagai subjek, objek dan pelengkap (complement) dalam kalimat, juga di belakang sebuah preposisi. Jadi Gerund itu sebenarnya adalah kata kerja, akan tetapi kedudukannya dalam kalimat itulah yang membuatnya seolah-olah kata benda.
