TasyaaliyahUpgrading Temple or Temple Panataran or original name is Candi Palah is a group of religious Hindu temple located in the village Siwaitis Upgrading, Nglegok Subdistrict, Blitar, East Java. Grandest and largest temple in East Java is located on the slopes southwest Kelud, north of Blitar, at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. Of inscriptions stored at the temple is estimated temple was built during King Srengga of Kadiri Kingdom around the year 1200 AD and continued in use until the reign Wikramawardhana, King of Majapahit Kingdom around the year 1415.
In the book Desawarnana or Nagarakretagama written in 1365, this temple is known as the sacred building "Palah" visited by King Hayam Wuruk the jaunt traveling around the kingdom in East Java.
In 1995 the temple was proposed as a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage Site tentative list.
