The biography of John Lennon.
John Winston Ono Lennon was born on 9th October, 1940. He was a very famous English singer, mostly known from his band; The Beatles. The beatles was one of the most popular bands in the whole world, known worldwise and loved by teenagers, and adults. John Lennon was also a song-writer. His lyrics were very successful and inspiring to lots of people. Lots of his songs were about peace, and love.
Childhood.
John was born in Liverpool, to Julia and Alfred Lennon. Lennon got his name from his grandfather. Throughout his childhood, John lived with his aunt and uncle, due to the fact his father was sent away from home a lot (It was wartime) and Julia Lennon was in a relationship with another man. Right from his childhood, John enjoyed learning and playing music. Lennon went to an art collage, after failing his GCSE.
The beatles
John Lennon, together with his friends, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, formed a band in late 1950's/1960's. Soon after, the Beatles were played all over the radio, and were famous all over the world! A lot of fans were so in love with them, they started to be known as 'Beatlesmania'.
His death
John was very unfortunately shoot by a 'fan', Mark David Chapman, in front of a building that he has lived in. All the fans were horrified, and that was the end of his career. John Lennon and the Beatle's songs are still known worldwise now.
