Argumenty do:

Apart from basic arithmetic a lot of what is taught in Maths is a waste of time.

I disagree with this statement. Mathematic is a very usful subject. A lot of what we learn can be helpful in our future life. When we are buliding a house or arranging new kitchen there is many things to which we need maths. What is more, when we will have kids we will be able to help them with this subject. It's always better to know something than not to know. Knowlegde boroaden our mind!

1. Those who understand rules of probability, know that lotteries and organized gambling are loosing propositions. 

2. Those who understand statistics, won't be deceived by politicians and marketers misusing it.

3. Formal logic if very useful in finding contradictions in political speeches, or constructing search queries for google.

4. Geometry is useful, for example to calculate costs of redecorating your home.
