Climate is the result of a circulatory system on a planetary scale, the movement of the air mass that surrounds the globe under the influence of solar radiation and the constant exchange with ocean and soil in a very complex dynamic equilibrium, regulated by a series Of factors whose influence we are only beginning to understand, and yet we are certain that we are altering them irreversibly. The unitary and global character of the climate was perceived as early as the last century. It was intuited that atmosphere and ocean had a very important role in the average temperature of the planet and that part of the energy that came from the Sun was, somehow, retained by the atmosphere.

Conclusion of the theme atmosphere and climate change. In conclusion, the atmosphere is mainly composed of nitrogen, oxygen, some other trace gases and aerosols that regulate the climate system, by influencing the energy balance between incident solar radiation and emitted terrestrial radiation.
