A.)  1. p² -18pq -40q² = p²-20pq+2pq-40q²
                               = p(p-20q) +2q(p-20q)
                               = (p+2q) (p-20q)

       2. x² -12xy +35y² = x²-7xy-5xy+35y²
                                 = x(x-7y) -5y(x-7y)
                                 = (x-5y) (x-7y)

B.) 1. 4x²-2x-12 = 4x²-8x+6x-12
                        = 4x(x-2) +6(x-2)
                       = (4x+6) (x-2)
