He (look) for a café because he was cold and he (want) a hot drink and something warm to eat. Then he (see) two men on the other side of the road. He (cross) the road to ask for directions when he (feel) a sudden fear. The men (not look) very friendly. Were they robbers and (they wait) for someone to walk past? Then he realised that one of them (have) something black in his hand. But what was it?

it was raining very hard. Ben walked along a street in a quiet part of the city. He was looking for a cafe becouse he was cold and he wanted a hot drink and something warm to eat. Then he saw two men on the other side of the road. He crossed the road to ask for directions when he fel a sudden fear. The men weren't looking very friendly. Were they robber and they were waiting for someone to walk past? Then he realised that one of them had something black in his hand. But what was it?
