Maria thinks her boyfriend Craig wants to split up with her. He spends more time with her friends than with her. He doesn't want to talk; writing about her feelings won't do any good; he would be angry if she suggested spending time apart; she doesn't want a new boyfriend because she loves Craig.
Bill wants to help his friend Maria. He advises her to: talk to her boyfriend; write a letter to him, saying how she feels, have two weeks apart; find a new boyfriend.
