1. The school uniforms at Hogwarts is old fashioned so it would resemble the magicians, who in fact they are.

2. By doing something facultative, or doing deeds, which would prove being brave (of course, in the name of right).

3. Because it is magic school and they have other means of communication. (rofl)

4. Because the pawns are attacking themselves, so one might get hurt by the way.

5. The Qudditch is entirely different sports, which doesn't have an equivalent in our world. It is different, because the players can hurt each other really badly, which could even result in severe injuries or death. But it is magic world, so they don't really care that much.
